Kobayashi, an Asian company that sells everyday healthcare products, had developed a new injury patch that needed a successful introduction into an already crowded American health market.
Through intensive market research, Kobayashi determined that their first product launch would be best targeted towards the youth injury market, and with this in mind, licensed Disney characters. Packaging prototypes provided direction in creating packaging that stood out on the shelf, was attractive to kids and parents, and communicated the product's value.
The initial product launch was a success, with major US Pharmacies, including CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens, picking up the product. This paved the way for more Be Koool product lines to be launched and sold on American store shelves.
